Answering Your Questions
Booking your journey in advance is the best way to guarantee a water taxi. Book online or phone us directly on 0439 625 377. For same day bookings, phone bookings are recommended. In both instances, we will need to take your credit card details to secure a booking. To take a trip on the day without booking, we require one hour notice before travelling.
Our white water taxi limousines can pick you up from just about any wharf, public or private jetty and any pontoon in Sydney Harbour or the Parramatta River. The owner's permission is required for private jetty or pontoon access. You can usually find our water taxis in Circular Quay at both Harbour Masters & Commissioners Steps in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
We have many ways to get you on and off our water taxis safely. These will differ depending on the destination. You will usually board or exit from the side or across the stern. Unfortunately our water taxis are not suitable for wheelchair access.

Our Sydney Harbour water taxi services take you anywhere inside the headlands of the Harbour; to Manly or through the Spit to Middle Harbour, Darling Harbour or anywhere up the Parramatta or Lane Cove Rivers. We also offer offshore charters for whale watching for up to 12 passengers. We can pick you up from your private wharf, vessel or from any public wharf.
Yes, we can take you to the islands of Sydney Harbour. We are licensed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to take you to any of the eight Sydney Harbour National Park islands. You will need to contact NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service as there is a small fee for landing and national park rules apply.
Yes, you can. See our specials for the current half-hour and hour hire rates. Our skippers know all about the harbour and can enhance your journey with interesting commentary. For a more leisurely pace, consider adding extra time to your journey.
Transferring passengers from one boat to another in Sydney Harbour is possible depending on the type of charter vessel you missed. Some charter captains do not allow this and some charter vessels are not suitable or safe to transfer to. Please call us on 0439 625 377 for more details.
We can organise water taxi transport for groups. Our largest vessel carries 23 passengers and we have 6 other white water taxi limousines available for group bookings. If your transfer can be staggered, choose Majestic for a special rate for multiple trips that is ideal for short distance transfers. For groups of 200 or more, we recommend a ferry. Contact us for great value for money.
Yes, we can negotiate a special price if you are a large group or need a boat for a special event or long duration. We also offer discounts for loyal customers.
For safety reasons, we cannot allow smoking on board and intoxicated passengers may be refused. However, if you bring your own drinks you may enjoy refreshments while on board.
Absolutely. Let us arrange a small charter and find a private location for you. Once we arrive we will turn off our equipment and our quiet crew will disappear from sight. We can even help you celebrate with drinks, glasses, music and more.
At Majestic Water Taxis, a transfer is a transfer. Extra charges will only apply for special touches like a “just married” sign, a ribbon on the bow or different attire for the captain. Transfers after 11pm will also attract addition costs and there will be a $3 per minute waiting fee if we wait for you to arrive for more than 5 minutes. These charges are standard for all transfers. Our vessels are fitted with sound systems that are compatible with most phones and iPods.
We generally operate between 09.00am and 11.00pm. We are happy to take bookings outside these hours but an additional fee may apply.
Our water taxis have undercover cabin areas and we can block out the wind or rain. Your journey would only be drastically affected in the case of extreme weather or water conditions. These decisions are made with your safety and comfort in mind.
All of our vessels are made of sturdy aluminium. They boast 360-degree views and 100% reliability in any weather or sea conditions! We provide spotless, comfortable seating, side and stern loading for ultimate passenger comfort and safety. Each fare is determined by distance with the min charge generally being $60 for 4 people. A $10 per person charge applies after this. Please refer to our quoting system.
